URGENT ! 50 tabliczki upon 60 ones still need your contribution !
After the Ministry of Culture of Poland helped replacing 7 damaged plates of the Museum, plus one tabliczka sponsored by the ”Warsaw ghetto Museum” by Chanuka 2021, and 2 individual sponsors, 50 other tabliczki need an urgent replacement before end of spring 2022.
There was a mistake made by the first company that produced the plates. They looked very good when they were laid. But the texts were not engraved, as stipulated by the contract, they got printed, so they began to fade away after a few months and we discovered the deception with stupor.
We are now working with 2 experienced firms based in Krakow, ”Metal’Art” for the manufacturing and ”Imperium Zieleni” for the laying. Watch the video in ”Medias” page to see the good quality of the new tabliczki.
Each tabliczka costs 970 Euros. The whole project requires 49.470 Euros. We thank you for your generosity !
Weeding of the Cemetery
The huge Jewish cemetery needs a weeding every 3 months. The herbs grow very quickly and sometimes it is impossible to walk among the +3000 graves.

The 2 Jewish Panels on Joselewicza St
In agreement with the City Council, the 2 existing panels on Joselewicza St, in the very heart of the city, will receive new contents. Currently, those 2 panels describe the time of the war and the ghetto. They will be merged into one panel about the time of war in Radomsko, with more information and pictures.
The other panel will contain the map of the KMR, the First Jewish Open-Air Museum, as well as useful information about Yiddishkeit, about the Jewish culture, and many pictures in order to educate both locals and tourists on what Judaism is. The front panels will be written in Polish and the back panels in English so that the greatest number of passersby will be satisfied.
Cost of this urgent project : 4000 zlotys / 870 Euros.
Events of the ”Kesselman Museum in Radomsko” for children and students
Give the children and students of Radomsko the chance to participate in many educational and cultural events !
Activities require buses, prints, costumes, food. Teaching Judaism, the Holocaust and bases of Hebrew and Yiddish requires a special teacher.

The Ghetto : Paving Stones all around the boundaries of the ghetto
In agreement with the City Council, the borders and the streets of the ghetto will be pointed out by a paving stone (probably in white marble), one every 4 meters.
Estimated cost of the project : 10.000 Euros. Never again. Let’s never forget.

Jewish Festival with historical and educationnal orientation
Radomsko, more than any other city in Poland, with its unique Jewish Open-Air Museum in Europe, deserves a Jewish Festival with a historical and educational orientation.
The main project for the summer of 2022, following the folkloric Jewish Festival in Krakow, is to install immense photographs of the Jews of the city on the buildings, where they lived, where they prayed, where they had their activities. The Regional Museum of Radomsko has many photographs of the Jews before World War II and, thanks to the numerous archive searches, the “Kesselman Museum” can match the addresses with the photos.

2 Walls of Names are thought to be engraved on those Jewish buildings as soon as they will be renovated :
– A wall with the family names of the Jews of Radomsko,
– And a wall honoring the Righteous among the Nations of Radomsko and vicinity.

Through the “Contact” page, send us an e-mail with a short summary (10 to 15 lines) of who was your parent/family in Radomsko or vicinity (Przedbórz, Pławno, Gidle…), indicating how he/she/they survived the war and in case of Poles, Righteous among the Nations, how he/she helped a Jew to hide and maybe to survive or in which condition he/she/they unfortunately passed away. Next step will be to send us a photograph of your loved one. Let’s put a face on each name. As so they will never be forgotten.
